Terms of Service

What ReelsNote does

You paste a public Instagram reel. We read its caption, voiceover and on-screen text, save it to your notebook, pin the places it names on your map, and, when you ask, check the factual claims it makes against public sources.

Accuracy, and where it ends

  • Place extraction and fact-checking are automated and can be wrong.
  • A verdict is a summary of what public sources said at the time of the check. Prices, opening hours and rules change. Confirm anything that matters with the venue before you travel or spend money.
  • Verdicts are about the claim, not about the person who made it. We do not judge creators, and a verdict is not an accusation of dishonesty.
  • Nothing here is professional, legal, medical or travel advice.

Your account

  • You need an account to process reels. One person, one account.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the service, automate it, or try to get around the limits.

Credits and payment

  • A credit is used when we actually find places in a reel. Nothing found, nothing charged.
  • Reading a reel someone already processed costs nothing, and an existing fact-check is free to open.
  • Purchased credits never expire. Subscription credits reset each month and are used first.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Refunds for unused credits: email us and we will sort it out.

Content that is not ours

Reels belong to the people who made them. We do not host them: we read what is publicly available, show Instagram's own embed, and link back to the original. If you are a creator and want a fact-check page about your reel removed, email us and we will take it down.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use ReelsNote to harass anyone or to build a case against a creator.
  • Do not scrape, resell or automate the service without our written agreement.
  • Do not attempt to process private content you are not allowed to access.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by relying on an automated extraction or fact-check, and any liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use ReelsNote after a change means you accept the new version.
